For the chicks, we've got 4 -- all hopefully hens (egg layers) but we're not sure about 1 of them who's a bit larger than the rest and seems to be the protector of the bunch.. Seems a bit roostery to me..
So does that mean he will go in the pot with celery, noodles etc. or you going to let him enjoy life with the ladies??
p.s. Thanks for the pegboard offer. I have some 1/4" freebie stock I am gong to use.
p.p.s. Did L.A. feel the 5.7 - 5.9 quake last night? Hit San Diego with a good hard jolt.

Positive. She was right with me as we were scooting for the door. I've been behaving, splitting my woodworking time up in smaller chunks. After my little 'incident' a week ago pulling a marathon shift in the shop, I committed to shorter hours in order to stay more alert / safe.

You went out the door with 'Pinkie'? Or were you thinking Pinkie referred to she who knows?(In the future to be known as "SWKWI"):D
Were you going out doors so a tree could fall on ya?

Up here we had a large boom and a small wiggle. Came at about the same time as the quake, but we are really not sure if it was a big sonic boom or the quake. We get lots of sonic booms.

Both Paul's and Red's recommendations on Half laps are excellent. I've had good luck with leaving the dado part alone (a little undersized) and trimming the "goesinto" piece with a carving knife. Even tapering the slope to fit. After all, It's the face to face part of the joint that is the best glue surface. The edges go to end grain of the dadoed piece.

Actually to be persnickety it should be "SWDNWIBDKWI"! I merely shortened it for 'expediency' by deleting the reference to the part unknown(the part that 'is')! Good luck with that mental meandering!:D
Every body else, just ignore all this!

Nope.. Didn't feel it -- must've been walking around or driving..
Does that mean YOU shake the ground when walking or driving??
