Project

Post by peterclove »

I have a round Redwood Pick nick Table that has been in my family for many years. I am trying to locate plans so I can build arc benches that fit around the outside of the table. Has anyone seen or know where I can get plans for this type of project. I've look on the Web sites for both Shopsmith and Rockler.

It will be a long search, but if you search for "woodworking plans bench", you will find tons and tons and tons of plans. If you look hard enough, you can probably find something similar to what you are looking for. This has worked for me, at lesat.

Peter, if you have Woodsmith, Vol 24, No. 142, look on page 14 for some wrap-around benches that go with a round picnic table.

Thanks Stephanos:

I remembered the project plans, but hadn't had a chance to go into the shop and look for them and I was feeling guilty.

I just ran across plans from the March / April Fine Woodworking Maginzine. You can view them at http://www.taunton.com/finewoodworking/ ... 011205.asp

The companion instruction arcticle is free and will give you what you need.
