Now Mark, I like the Google map thing. How do I add my Australia location?
Cheers,
David
This is where we need the advice from Mike aka Mickyd. I will PM him and ask for his help. He did a post on how to do it but it was a while ago and I cannot find it.

That is the one. David follow Dustys link and go to post 14 and follow the instructions. I sent mickyd a PM. I don't know where he is. Always under foot until you need him. :D

Realize the # 14 post is the link in post 01 of Dusty's link.
If you get to the map, 'zoom' out to include aus in the map. On the left side, scroll down to at or almost the bottom of that list until you find yerself. Left click on 'yerself', then scroll back to the top of that list. Left click on the 'edit'.
This should allow you to edit/correct anything I put there, including a precise location of your icon, and make that icon what YOU want it to be. The map can be recentered/zoomed in/out to help you locate it. Not sure how much 'detail' the map has for NSW, but in areas of the USA, ya can put yer icon smack dab in the middle of yer street in front of yer 'house'.
You can correctly conclude from this that anybody else can manipulate anothers 'stuff'. Fortunately this is a reasonably well behaved gathering(except one instance where an icon was moved from CA to 'the four corners'! The last 'person' to edit the 'stuff' is identified(inadequately).
G'day!

P.S. I relocated Lokerd to NSW.
If you really meant placemark 96, you did more than mess it up....you deleted it!!
I see the lonely Ausi marker. It looks like it needs company. I know there is another Ausi on the forum somewhere. I'll go search for the word "Australia".
Welcome locurd David, the man from where bathtubs drain in the wrong rotational direction and who's seasons are reversed...... Spring is right around the corner for you.

Just took delivery of a Mark V 520 today in Emu Plains NSW Australia.
David I'm in Brisbane. Any chance you're still active here? Would love to talk to someone who owns a Shopsmith, I just picked up a Mark V locally in a crazy turn of events.

This Topic is almost 16 years old. lokerd made only 5 posts and is likely no longer on the Forum. I understand the desire to find other Shopsmith owners in Australia and hopefully bringing this topic back to the top of the list may find someone there.
