With MDF in mind, go house hunting some time soon. Don't go where you find affordable homes. Go to some of the really high class homes in your area. Open doors and drawers and look where you might otherwise not look. Even in the furniture. If you search deep into the bowels of these places you will find more MDF than you might expect. You likely will not find particle board but you will find MDF.
If you find ONLY solid oak and solid maple you are in an unusual place and when you check the price tag you will understand.
Quality wood is becoming hard to find these days and this is apparent when you look critically at wood based products.
The home you sold sits right up there at the top of well built homes. Do not be embarrassed of the fact that you used MDF in its construction.
How do you post something with a photo

Thanks for the complements on the kitchen. My wife designed it (and the house). She sketched it out on paper and said make this please. I built it by looking at her sketch. I didn't make any plans, just kind of built it in place. Spent more time starring and thinking than actually making. I am sure you guys know what I mean by that.

I do a lot of staring too but unlike you it hardly ever evolves into something so nice.owenbrent wrote:Thanks for the complements on the kitchen. My wife designed it (and the house). Maybe you need to let SWMBO sketch the objective for you!:Ddusty wrote:I do a lot of staring too but unlike you it hardly ever evolves into something so nice.
