Are you still waiting?
If you can't get to the site then that is the problem to look for. Got any software that blocks sites installed?

I am confused! I have been struggling to get flash player 10 installed for several weeks now.
I added adobe to downloadable sites to firefox, I removed version 9, I downloaded 10, installed it(twice) and got installation successful msg.
When I go to add/delete pgms, it says I have version 10 'plugin', with no size indicated????
Look at \.......\adobe and only reader, acrobat, photoshop folders. Where SHOULD flaSHPLAYER RESIDE?

SDSSmith wrote:How about "about: plugins"? Just need the space after the colon just like Mr. Jackson, English teacher, taught us.
While it may be correct English punctuation, it doesn't have the desired result in Firefox.
For it to work in Firefox, there should be no spaces.

Been off this thread, and do not understand the later posts(resolve that later), but went searching on my own!
In answer to a ?? I previously posted, Flashplayer resides in \WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash

That sub-direc ooops folder is shown above after successfully getting version 10... to install.
I manually cleared that directory (after clicking on the install/uninstall .exe file and uninstalling)and went back to adobe and installed version 10
The initial attempt to play from sawdust session 24 displayed a 'install plugin' now prompt. I did that and it did its thing, and guess what IT NOW WORKS!!!!!

Apparently a memory used null value is 'normal'.
I believe all this confusion was caused by previous unsuccessful attempt yo install version 10. I be;ieve remnents of version 9 were clogging/confusing the installation.
FWIW there were version 9 remnants remaining in the .......flash folder after 'uninstalling' version 9. As mentioned above, I manually deleted them!
Thank You all for the responses and 'clues'.
BTW Chuck: Where did you find an uninstall thingie on adobe.com????

So somebody tell us just what a 'plugin' is. An independant program function that can be 'added' dynamically(after base program is defined in executable form(compiled/linked))???
