Access Cover - ANYONE Ever put one in on an old Greenie?

I have an old '56 Greenie that I am getting ready to tear into this weekend. While I have it apart I was thinking that would be a great time to add an access cover (a.k.a. - Nameplate). Has anyone ever done this? I think it might be a useful feature to have for inspections and lubrication and cleaning out. What do you think? Let me know.
