Hello, I am new to the forum and to owning a shopsmith. I just got one that used to belong to my grandfather. the unit has been idle for many years. It is a green model with a gilmer drive belt. While trying it out the gilmer belt broke, and upon removing the shaft one of the two bearings which are on either side of the gear that meshes with the belt was found to be bad. These were the only problems that I could find.
I looked through the site and while I located what appears to be the proper gilmer belt I can't find the bearings, or in fact any exploded assembly that looks like the gilmer belt model. Any help that can be provided will be appreciated.
A separate question: Is the Gilmer Maintenance packet (877081) worth the $10 they are selling it for? There is not much description of what it actually consists of.
Thanks for your help.

Hi;
You may want to call Customer Service and have them tell you what is in the repair package. $10 for the Gilmer belt is probably OK. The bearing should be a 6205ZZ bearing available from VXB bearings on the internet. You will have to pull and replae the bearings yourself or have someone or a machine shop remove and replace the bearings
