For the Forstner bits, set the speed changer up in the low speed pulley arrangement and then dial the speed down as slow as it goes. Here is one chart:mickyd wrote:I'm VERY glad I was mistaken since I now have a way to use my forstner bits within their max speed design parameters. I was pretty bummed knowing I'd have to buy a PowerPro in order to use my bits. (I intentionally ignored the speed reducer approach.......PowerPro would be more fun)
Anyone aware of a table that shows the RPM's vs. pulley / speed setting value when the speed changer is being used?

As my dad used to tell me... "Well, that's what you get for thinking!"
It's on page 8 of at least one version of the 10ER user manual.mickyd wrote:Can't find any info on the standard pulley configuration RPM's.

That's actually jpg's prototype artwork intented to be used for an acid etched brass speed indicator to replace the one on an ER that has a speed changer on it.SDSSmith wrote:That's pretty, but I think it is missing some information. What operations are used for the speed setting! i.e. all that stuff in the earlier posts by Rob and Heath!mickyd wrote:That's actually jpg's prototype artwork intented to be used for an acid etched brass speed indicator to replace the one on an ER that has a speed changer on it.

According to my mental recollections of long past conversations on the 10ER Yahoo group, there is no difference between the 8 position and 5 position speed changers other than the marks on the indicator.JPG40504 wrote:BTW ANYBODY have an 8 position speed control indicator?
