The VII has under the table shaping(permitted by the reversing motor and the dual pivot capability).[same as original VII]. It ends up being higher than the original since the pivoting is done at the ends. Any other 'advantages'? I dunno!
Why no marketing? Perhaps they are so tied up with the Power Pro upgrades that they feel they cannot do both(at least for the time being). They obviously will respond to a request for a new machine. It is possible that the VII is the only new model currently being produced.
Wonder about lift assist both directions?:D

Rack teeth on only the 'normal' side of the table support tubes.
Stops at 90 and 45 degree same as 'normal' 520.
Trunion lock in same location as 'normal' 520.
Must conclude 90 degree right rotation not possible = under table shaping not possible with 'normal' table.
Table appears to be std 520 issue.
This leads to the ??? of why refer to it as a VII? Runs in reverse???

If the table is no different (which seem like the case based on the photos), then it seems like getting a pivoting end off of ebay would put you most of the way there...except for figuring out an easier way to remove the pivot bar. In fact, from examining the photo it looks like the existing ones could be modified to provide that functionality...hmm =)
One thing to know would be whether the bench tubes or way tubes are longer/shorter than normal.
Also - a shot of the ends proped up a little would be great.
