Shopsmith customer service and V120 miter gauge

Post by claimdude »

Hi All,

I ordered a V120 w/o handle grip (I planned on using my old one) 9/2/2010 when on sale. A couple of days ago (9/29) I decided I wanted the 5' connector tubes and had not received mymiter order yet so I called Shopsmith and got straight through to a rep (don't remember is name). I asked the status of my miter order and he said there was still no ship date so I asked about the tubes (didn't need them right away) and if I could order them and have them shipped when miter gauge was shipped to save on shipping. He told me te tubes would ship as they were in stock and that the miter would ship when received at no additional shipping cost.

Today I receied both the tubes and the miter gauge!!!

While assembling the miter gauge I tightened the screws for the machined aluminum block that attaches to the fence face but the block was still loose. I called customer service a few minutes ago and got straight through to Linda. Told her my concern and she informed me that the block should remain loose after tightening the screws and that is it's design.

V120 miter gauge is fantastic!!

Shopsmith customer service ROCKS!!! Thanks Linda!!!!
