I think I would use construction adhesive (ie Liquid Nail). I do know it works well on wood to concrete.

This site will give suggestions on what to use to glue one material to another material. The suggestions aren't perfect, but it's a good starting place, I think.

I checked that site and used wood to ceramic. They suggested epoxy.

wood is going to expand and contract with humidity while marble is going to expand and contract with temperature. IIRC, marble is not a great material when placed in tension.kate16 wrote:Thanks everyone for replying...anyways... depending on your application, you may only want to glue them together in a few spots maybe even only one spot. on many of the older marble-topped end tables, the tops were not attached at all accept by friction.

Adhesive
I put a cultured marble top onto a bathroom vanity about 2-3 years ago. I got a silicone type adhesive to join them and it's worked faultlessly for me. Sorry but I don't remember the name of it, other than it was in a caulking tube type container.kate16 wrote:Thanks everyone for replying...anyways... Good luck
Paul
I was going to suggest silicone caulk, but Paul beat me to it. If you are worried about wood changing dimensions, the silicone would stretch to accommodate. You may have to re-caulk the edges from time to time, but that should be no big problem. Colored silicone caulk is available. If it sneaks out of the parameters, it could be smoothed to a fine line, blending in with your colors.
