Anyone know what this is supposed to be for? It has markings as being "ShopSmith 555319"

It's a diamond wheel dresser.
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

No other parts or mounting is required for this type of grinding wheel dresser. It is just placed on the anvil in front of the grinding wheel and the diamond tip is pressed into and moved across the edge of the wheel to dress it up. That means to expose fresh grinding abrasives and square the face.
