Power station question

Fellow woodworkers it is my pleasure to finally be addressing the forum. Over the last year i have absorbed a wealth of knowledge, for this i thank you. My question- I have a power station for a belt sander, what parts (if any) would i need to use my bandsaw in the sanders place?

I believe the answer is "nothing" BUT is this what you are using for a Power Station or do you have one of these?

If you have the Power Stand for the Belt Sander it might require a different pulley when you change to the Bandsaw but I don't think so.

WORD of CAUTION: You don't want to run the Bandsaw at too high a speed. Doing so can cause damage. The catalog must call out the appropriate pulley(s) but I have not yet found where.

The power STAND belt sander version operates at 1150 and 1725 rpm.

The power STAND band saw version operates at 770 and 1250 rpm.

I leave it for an exercise for the user to determine pulley sizes!:D

This raises an interesting question.

Do the power stand pulley arrangements involve cone pulley pairs, or merely a single pulley/cone pulley setup.

For the Bandsaw/belt sander situation, if the motor pulley were 2" only, then the belt sander has a 2x3 pulley and the bandsaw has a 3x4.5 pulley.

If so, ya need to change the spt pulley to switch from belt sander to bandsaw and maybe the belt(length).
