Hinges

Threads here often discuss good or bad customer service experiences. Let me relate a positive one.

My daughter's bathroom medicine chest mirrored door broke a couple weeks back. The door had "European" style or "blum" hinges but the cup was plastic?! Anyway that's where it broke. She was bummed, "Now I have to spend a bundle on a new medicine chest..." "Why not try to replace the hinge?, I asked.

I found a place in California that was super helpful in finding a replacement part. I wrote them an email and sent dimensions (depth and diameter of the cup) and took couple of pics which I attached to my email request. They got back to me with a couple of questions. I replied with answers and wala in a couple of days the replacement hinges were in my mailbox.

I am not related to this organization, I don't own stock in them, nor do I know anyone who works there - other than the CSR who helped me sort out what I needed.

My little girl couldn't be happier and I got a hug. Life is good.

They also have a very nice brick and mortar store. I too picked up some hinges from them and was very satisfied. Plus I could pick them up and look at them.
