Excellent suggestion, Bill!!! Thanks!!!!wa2crk wrote:Get a grip on that Power Pro headstock!!! I found it easier to extend the quill a few inches and lock it in place and use the quill housing as a grip.. My wife stood by and helped me guide the PP onto the way tubes. I couldn't see the way tubes or the holes in the casting very well.

The loaner headstock (old style) does a wonderful job of running my bandsaw. So, while my PowerPro headstock is in for repair, any possible issue with the bandsaw is now mute. Re-sawed a 6" poplar board 6 ft. long and sawed out 42 more little cars and trucks, each 1 1/4" wide.
Wonder how they are coming with the repair? Guess I'll call!

110 / 220 adapter cord

I assembled this adapter cord that allows me to plug my Power Pro into the cord and the cord into a 220 outlet. Works great. Got the parts from my local big blue box store.

PowerPro upgrade kits in stock?
Hey Guys,
I am ready to pull the trigger and willbe ordering the PP upgrade kit soon. I sent an e-mail to SS this morning but haven't receive a response yet. I travelled all day today , see doctors in the AM and back on the road the rest of the day tomorrow getting back home. I wanted to place the order 1st thing in the morning at the website before I leave. Anyone here know whether are not upgrade kits are shipping quickly when ordered?
Thanks
Jack

Kudos on selecting 20A devices. Actually 15A devices would have been adequate.ray1942 wrote:

I assume you selected the 230v plug based on what receptacle you have installed in the shop.

Yes I did, I have a small basement shop with one 220 outlet.JPG40504 wrote:Kudos on selecting 20A devices. Actually 15A devices would have been adequate.

Not wanting to run another 220 line, I figured this was the easiest way to operate my "Power Pro" on either 110 or 220. Works great.

UPDATE ON MY PP REVIEW:
Several weeks back I got my PowerPro and promised to give an update to my review re: bandsaw performance. Well, unfortunately I was experiencing a similiar knocking that Chuck had reported. Today I got my PP back and would like to report on how it functions, but unfortunately now it is tripping my GFI whenever I try to start it, so I can not. I did not have this problem previously. Needless to say, this is really frustrating. Alec
