Lathe tool rest

Lathe tool rest
Mark V model, just got it. I can't find where the threaded, tool rest shaft goes. is there a base to fasten to the tubes what- im lost ,thanks
additional tool leg info requested
thanks to peter in dartmouth. for some clarification but the tool rest post is threaded,does it screw into a leg?

It is not threaded! Those be grooves in the side of the tube. They are concentric(do not advance along the tube). This allows it to rotate as well as be height adjustable with the table height pinion gear(and handle).
