Post by easterngray »

I am interested in making shaker oval boxes - can anyone give me any leads as to where I could read about making them? Thanks - Alec

Dusty beat me to it, so I will second the recommendation. I took the weekend class taught by John Wilson at the Pleasant Hill Shaker Village. A great time! He has a number of helpful tips in his catalog as well.

Making these boxes is addictive, you will soon flood your house with them and then begin on your friends and family.

Happy T-Day

Roy Underhill-- the Woodwright-- did a show or two on those boxes years ago. My guess is they would be found in one of his books or archives of the TV show.
