Shopsmith part# 556186.... Does anybody have this hose and clamp system?? It says hose goes from 12 to 36 inches in length and stays where you put it... need something for drilling to keep chips away..... does it work as stated?? thanks

I have the equivalent hose, but not the clamp, that I bought at Rockler. It does the job for me when turning pens, sucking the majority of the chips out of the work area.

I like the clamp; might need to confabulate something for the hose I have.

I made my own clamping systemto hold a stay put hose. Not too pretty to look at but it works well.

I had seen those pics before on another post. It will serve as the inspiration for my own clamping system......if I ever get around to building it. Thanks for the ideas.
