Bandsaw dust collector

Post by Parrot931 »

I wish to add a dust collector to my SS bandsaw, how do I go about doing this operation? Is there an add-on piece available?

Yes, thanks.

Does the port come with directions on where to cut a whole in the casing?

Mine's a toilet flange mounted close to the bottom and centered front to back.
Installed it in the '80s.

Yes, it comes with directions.
There is nothing critical about the location of the hole 2 1/2" you cut though.

Can anyone post a photo of a bandsaw dust collector that's installed?

Now that is a useful idea.
My bandsaw has the collector outlet but I can see several ways that a plastic toilet flange could be fitted to different machines.
Thanks.

Thanks, Peter! That's very helpful! I'll probably end up doing the same thing, but showing the location is useful.
