I'm just having all kinds of issues taking this whole thing apart. Can anyone tell me how take what I think is called the quill housing apart? Thanks.

You mean remove the quill? First loosen the setscrew on the top of the headstock. It's right above the quill and visible from the top. Second, extend the quill out with one hand and keep the other available to catch the quill as it comes free of the headstock. Do not let go of the quill extension lever and simply tighten the quill lock on the speed dial side of the machine. When you put it back in simple reverse the procedure. Don't let the tension out of the quill extension or you will unwind the spring.

From the PowerPro upgrade instructions, removing the drive sleeve may be difficult - so before removing the quill, remove the drive sleeve retaining ring. Loosen the quill set screw on top of the headstock and advance the quill untill the spline shaft clears the plastic hub on the sleeve. Insert a small piece of wood between the plastic and the quill shaft and retract the quill to press the drive sleeve out of the casting. You can then remove the quill. Slowly rewind the quill feed lever to release tension. (When re-installing, wind the lever 3 full turns to tension the spring then install the quill).
