Table Saw blade
Hello, was wondering if someone could tell me if there is a good blade out there that I could purchase. I was hoping to find a high teeth count blade that would work with my mark V. Looking for something higher then a 80 tooth.

andes,
Do you have a 1-1/4" saw arbor or 5/8"?
Here's the basic Shopsmith blade selection with descriptions of the blades and their uses. Be sure to watch the videoon that page for choosing saw blades. It's got a lot about geometry, types, and particulars.
Shopsmith also offers Amana blades and one of them is an 80-tooth plastics blade. These are commercial-grade with 1-1/4" arbor holes.
And of course, Freudis a well-respected brand.
Are you looking to cut plastics or melamine? The number of teeth also depend upon the diameter of the blade, but I'm assuming you're looking for a 10".

Since you want a blade with that many teeth, I'll assume you want a good cross cutting blade. The Freud LU85 10" blade fits that bill. It has 80 teeth that will give you splinter free cross cuts in solid wood. If you want something to rip or cut other material, you'll need to look at some other blade.

Yep, I can't afford more than one, but the woodworker II series is a great blade. I had it sharpened locally, and even though ten years old, it is as good as new. Absolute polished edges on a crosscut. Uses less energy to cut, too! But they are proud of them! Over a hundred bucks even on sale. jimsjinx
If you are a part time band leader, does that make you a semi-conductor? Where do all the "unguided" bombs go?
