As for installing the sleeve, I clean up the drive drum and then install the sleeve without adhesive. I then pull the sleeve back over itself exposing half the drum and the underside of half the sleeve. I apply adhesive to the exposed drum and sleeve and, after whatever cure time is required, pull the sleeve back onto the drum. I then repeat for the other side. Have fun with it!]

I do it the same way except I use a 3M spray adhesive in place of the contact cement for this task and when installing black bandsaw tires. I have been unable to get the contact adhesive to go on smooth without any lumps being left. I had the same problem when trying to installing the black tires on the bandsaw. Maybe the contact cement was too old at the time I opened it? The contact cement I tried to use came with the black bandsaw tire kits. Thanks.

The drum sleeve on my belt sander crumbled yesterday while helping my son build his pinewood derby car. Has anyone ordered one lately? I see they are still listed on the site if you search on the part number.
