Jig Saw Crankcase Oil- How,Type,Quantity?

Post by mtobey »

Honestly- I tried the search- also tried SS Home but my computer and the site appear to be at war. So, if someone could give me the necessary information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks,mt

Tranny fluid

Post by rcoder »

I have used transmission fluid in mine for years and it works fine. The biggest problem is the small hole for air pressure equalization. Keep it clear and open. I use standard blades from Ace. I have worn out several leathers that puff the sawdust out of the way.

Thanks for the help. It was suggested by the seller that I had to take the sideplate off to pour in and I don't know how much-oz.,cc, up to a seam or part inside?mt

Filling

Remove the label plate then remove the fill bolt and using a pump oil can pump until it flows back. Just like doing a truck differential.

This is actually my second scroller with crankcase. I have a minty vintage 24" Delta castiron one- out in the garage- the cold garage.mt
