Has anyone had the opportunity to purchase these plans and evaluate them?

At the time I bought my machine, those plans came with it as a free handout. Built a couple of cabinets, but no rolling table. I changed the plans a bit, but their idea is great in my 320 sq ft shop. Here is the smaller of the three cabinets.

I've actually made two of the "special purpose tool" storage racks, one for the "Workshop in the Woods" (shown here) and another for my son-in-law. This SPT storage rack holds more tools and accessories than Shopsmith's storage station (555761) in about the same footprint.

These plans were apparently discontinued for many years. I actually made a couple of copies for forum members under the impression that they were no longer available. Shopsmith either found a long forgotten supply, or had new copies run.

Rather than pegboard, I used 1/4" luan plywood for the side panels. I also found that the vertical center support "G" was not necessary, so I eliminated it when I built the rack for my son-in-law.

I know this thread is a few years old, but I've been looking for some SPT storage ideas. I'm finishing up my shop build and am looking to put an SPT rack / tool storage together and saw this post. Looked on the SS main site and the plans are unavailable. Do you have something you could post or if you have the hardcopy, may want to sell?

thanks

Another option: SPT dollies. http://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/viewt ... p?p=151790 Plans are shown in thread. Advantages: (1) if you acquire a new SPT build another dolly, (2) each dolly takes up little space and can be shoved in a corner and moved around as necessary. Disadvantage: buying more casters!
