Finally found a smokin' deal
Well I had a guy contact me about the jigsaw manual he needed and after sending emails back and forth he tells me that the guy he bought it from had a Shopsmith Mark V and DC3300 still for sale and he gave me his number. So I called today and it is still available and he only wants $120 for everything. So although I don't need another Mark V I am going to buy it along with the DC3300 dust collector. I really need the DC3300 and not really sure what I am going to do with the Mark V but I will figure something out too good to pass up. Going to pick it up on Saturday morning.

Well I got it home this evening and it really was as good as I had hoped. It is a 1982-83 vintage serial number 122015 and it came with a nice assortment of accessories i did not have and needed. The dust collector other than being a little "dusty" works fine although this machine came from a smokers home and everything stinks bad but i can live with that. After a little cleaning and lubing I am hopeful she will be good to go. There is no rust on it from what i could see in the early evening light so that is a huge plus on the restoration side of things. Am as happy as a id on christmas morning and have always wondered how so many of you came across these great deals. This one is even better than the $99 train wreck I bought and completely restored as it needs little in the way of restoration and came with a ton of stuff. There is one part that looks like Shopsmith but I don't think it is Shopsmith. It is a tool rest/shelf with a trunnion and post for mounting it on whatever power tool it went to. If anyone recognizes it I would be grateful to hear what it goes to. I am guessing some type of Craftsman power tool as i also got a Craftsman miter guage in the package. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics but I didn't want to go in the house and get the good camera as i was pretty tired and ready to relax.
