soooo since 5/8" is about 15.88mm I'll go with yep.

Franklin uses the same bearing as the quill??

Previous info says it is a 6203 ??????????????? = 17x40x12mm

I think measuring with an accurate caliper is a good idea!

FWIW: 5/8" shaft in to a 16mm id bearing is a sloppy fit!

Please explain/correct Bill!!!!

I'm heading out of town until next week, when I get back I'll try to remember to measure it. I did notice that the shaft tapers out wider towards the bearing seating surface.

I disassemblied my first Franklin motor today. It does take the the older quill bearing 6202-10 5/8" X 35mm X 11mm on both ends. I just measure the motor or any other bearing I remove and replace with a new bearing each time. The number 6202 comes in different sizes as does some of the other bearings. My HF 6" Digital Caliper was one of my better investments and is used almost every day. In fact, I own several of them now (from sales) just in case one quits or if I drop it and/or step on it.

I goggled the part number 77502-16 given me to get the 16mm X 35mm X 11mm reference. Also found references that the -16 will be the ID in mm. -10 seems to equal 5/8". I corrected my bearing infro file. Thanks.
