Not sure what I got. 10E, 10ER or what. SN 69792

I need some of the collective wisdom here. I thought I was purchasing a drill press but when I got it home and started searching for info I think what I purchased is a 10e or 10er or something else. I have tried to match my serial number, 69792, up with the charts posted here and don't find it.
I am attaching photos of what came with it and damage on the piece.
The only item I forgot to photo is the headstock pulley cover which is cracked from the screw slot to about the top of the dome.
Please offer any and all info you have on this and how I can referb it to be a good addition to my shop. I did not get any lathe accessories other than the tool rest, hope to find items to make it a usable lathe, table saw, and whatever else I might be able to use it for.

It is a 10ER. The speed reducer is mounted backwards(as is the crank shaft on it).

The Model 10 sn are not listed on the ss site.

Be careful running it with that broken pulley flange.

P.S. the blade guard is 'foreign'.

Thanks for the input. I would not use that pulley broken like that. Any ideas on replacements. I'll look at others photos to truly get what you are saying about th speed reducer and mount it correctly.

The 2/3/4 in main shaft pulley has a 13/16" id(IIRC) which makes it unique and difficult to find. They are on e-bay, but they tend to be pricey. Make sure you are getting a main shaft one, NOT a motor shaft one!

Check out MKCTOOLS.com. Skip Cambell has parts for the 10 er. He has the pullies and the belts. Skip also runs a 10er
user group.

Thanks everyone. I sure appreciate the info. I'm conflicted on proceeding with fixing it up or not. I really have no idea how much it could cost to get it up to usable specs. It sure seems like a heavy duty machine though.

They are a great machine and built to last. The enjoyment is seeing what you started with and see what it ends up being. Here is one of my rebuilds a couple of years ago.
I have 5 of them now along with my 510 and 520:eek:
