Mystery accessory - "What's this thingie?"

Hi all, quick question... what's this thing? Got it in a bundle of stuff, and I'm going to sell of the stuff I'm not going to use (mostly lathe accessories). Thanks for any help anyone can provide so I can post this on the 'bay.

It's not obvious from the pics, but this is a very large & heavy piece of metal. Looks like the huge outside circle MIGHT unscrew from the rest of the body, but not sure. The hole-side looks to fit on the 5/8" arbor, other side... no clue... it's bigger

If the input hole and output shaft are 5/8", I believe I saw one laying around but never determined what it did at that time. I have a good collection of "what's this thing" stacked all over in my storage shed. My current guess would be be a slip clutch for the drill chuck. Any other guesses?

I have about a 8' stack of Shopsmith papers stored away that I can dig in for the same or similier item.

I just realized my pics aren't that great -- no shots of the hole that goes through the multi-stepped barrel structure. For scale, the width of the widest diameter is around 3 1/2 inches. The part that looks like a huge arbor sticking out the end seems to be around 1 inch in diameter.

EDIT: I may have figured it out. Looks like the main body of this thing, and if you look at the seller's second pic, it seems like the bigger arbor-like thing attached to mine is in his styrofoam packing. I may try unscrewing it tonight to confirm.

I "think" this may be a picture of the same thing... A Paige 6 in 1 universal chuck. That pin is just one attachment.
That is "pin" chuck, not "pen" chuck.

What you have is a part of the Precision Chuck. Your pictures are of the Pin chuck, but it is missing the pin necessaty to make it work. The collar does unscrew. If you are interested, PM me with your email address, and I can send you a copy of the manual.
