I enjoy reading the old woodworking books on craftsmanspace.com. I am impressed by many of the projects presented in these books. Most of the books appear to be from the 1930s.

I've never built anything from plans. When I build something, I sit down with a pencil and paper and make a rough sketch. Then I pull out my tape measure to get the measurements and start cutting wood.
