Photos above *could* be more circumstantial evidence of a PowerPro beta tester. Sorry Dusty! I know you're sick of this speculation.

However the decals on the headstock are not correct for a PowerPro.

No offense - but really at this point who cares? Anyone can now get a powerpro if they pony up the cash. So isn't it pretty much a dead issues that shold be allowed to die an honorable death:o

If you are saying that because the Mark V was draped with a sheet - NO! He was polishing tubes and the sheet was protection.

But, FWIW, any posting about reible is of great interest. Ed was a valued contributor to this forum and it was a real surprise when he suddenly quit posting. It is significant to note, also, that he did not quit just the Shopsmith forum. I know of nowhere that he has continued to post unless he has gone anonymous. To go anonymous would be a real character change for Ed.

It would be equally significant, at least to me, to know that he had been a PowerPro Beta Tester. He was meticulous in every thing he approached. If he had been a Beta Tester, his opinions would have been very important to me for any future decision I might make regarding the PowerPro.

Nuhobby: As for your apology, it is accepted though not necessary. I thrive on speculation. It keeps the old imagination alive.

I have one reason I care about this. I still think it's plausible that reible was a beta tester. At least a few on this forum would agree. And reible did not use a SS-type bandsaw. Perhaps "if he did and he did," some greater attention could have been paid to the bandsaw / accessory coupler / low speed chatter issues that a few have had to go through. I know I know, it's hindsight and flawed hindsight at that.

Uh Huh! Yep! Right on!

I do hope Reible's absence is not due to health issue(s). Or the result of any injury(physical or otherwise).

I hope he wasn't upset at all the "beta tester" speculation. I thought most of it was just meant in good fun.

I have to agree with you. His opinions on the PowerPro would help a lot to make up their minds.

Maybe he was a Beta tester. Maybe his experience was not pretty. Maybe he doesn't wish to 'dis-cuss' that experience. Maybe he was 'banned' for his leak! Maybe if it rains the grass will grow!

Whatever the reason I miss him!!!!:(

If Ed had been upset you would not be guessing about it now. Somehow he would have made his discontent very well known. No, he did not quit the forum because of "over speculation". Again, just speculation on my part.
