You need a 25mm(id) x 52mm(od) x 15mm(wide) bearing It should be double shielded(metal cover both sides).

I have purchased bearings from these folks - reasonable prices/shipping and quick response. There are others.

If you replace one, you oughta replace both.

However you will need a bearing puller/press to remove/install new ones.

IMHO, If you are not experiencing any problems(other than it looks damaged), I would defer until is exhibits actual operational problems.

But I'd order one now, just to make sure the originals never need to be replaced. :rolleyes:

I have an older Mark V with a Gilmer drive, but it does not have any cluch mechanism what so ever. The cogged portion is part of the shaft.

Does this mean there are two or more versions of the Gilmer system.

Is there more than one polyv system?

There are indeed two gilmer drive versions, one with the clutch and the very early greenies had no clutch.
1984 Mark V 500 and an early 1954 greenie. jointer, belt sander, bandsaw, jigsaw, planner.

If you never experience any sudden stop does the clutch offer a useful function. I guess what I am really asking is if I have a clutchless gilmer should I upgrade.

I used these on my greenie's drive sleeve (I selected metal shields):

The Gilmer clutch should save the Gilmer belt if the quill stops suddenly. However, I find most Gilmer clutches are either frozen or slipping, so not sure an upgrade to a clutch would be worth while these days. I rebuild, test and have available the Gilmer clutches with or without new bearings. There are an additional Gilmer belt supplier so the belts are not a future supply problem.

Who else supplies the correct size Gilmer belt?
