sawdust sessions

Post by mgbbob »

Hi folks,
I newbie here and I am trying to watch all the maintenance sessions on the sawdust pages. Is there a way to watch the videos at a larger screen size. I seem to be stuck in the small mode.
thanks

I ran into that problem once before. Don't remember the fix, if any. When I watch thru the SS website, http://www.shopsmithacademy.com/SS_Arch ... _Index.htm it usually lets me blow it up to full screen. However, the resolution is so low that I usually keep it small unless I'm trying to figure out the details of how something was done.
'55 Greenie #292284 (Mar-55), '89 SS 510 #020989, Mark VII #408551 (sold 10/14/12), SS Band Saw, (SS 500 #36063 (May-79) now gone to son-in-law as of 11-11), Magna bandsaw, Magna jointer 16185 (May-54), Magna belt sander SS28712 (Dec-82), Magna jigsaw SS4397 (Dec-78), SS biscuit joiner, Zyliss (knockoff) vise, 20+ hand planes, 60s Craftsman tablesaw, CarbaTec mini-lathe, and the usual pile of tools. Try CTRL + Repeat as required! CTRL - will reverse. changes scale of entire window.

I don't think that works for the Sawdust Sessions itself?

I use firefox and cntl+ increases the font size of the text associated with a sawdust session but it does not alter the size of the video itself.
Maybe it is suppose to but if so I have a problem or something is set up wrong.

At the bottom of the picture of the sawdust sessions, on the right side there is an icon of a TV screen, just click on it and it will blow up the picture to full screen, but like someone else said it, the resolution is quite low, so you will find it "snowy" in quality and to go back to the regular size click on the same icon, it appears at the bottom when you bring your mouse cursor down there.
I hope this is clear enough and pardon my french ...

The CTRL + ..must be done prior to 'starting' the video. Once it starts it has no effect.
