$80 off of craigslist, including the small bosch router =)

Didn't come with inserts for the plate. Are those easily available? Would it be smart just to replace the existig router plate with a different one?

Nice pickup, though bad for Shopsmith's business. You should have spent $485 plus shipping for the Mark V version. I believe the pin router insert for your router plate is here and the table insert is here. You can also pick up the three different size pins from Shopsmith (515499, 515500 and 515502). I like my overarm router and I hope you enjoy yours.

Sweet - thanks for the info. Do you think its easily possible to get the MK V style mounting hardware to convert from the old to the new style? There are some interesting operations that Nick showed in the sawdust sessions in horizontal router mode.

I happen to also have the free standing OPR, but if I remember correctly the inserts are not the same as the mounted table inserts.
I happen to have a spare insert for under the table routing. It's yours if you want it. You should also check out this thread: http://www.shopsmith.net/forums/showthr ... pr+inserts

SDSsmith gave you the correct part #'s the table insert, pin insert, and pins. However. I got four inserts when I got my OPR. Two table inserts, one pin insert, one with a ¾” hole. I could not find a part # for it so I assume that it was a pin insert that was drilled out to accept a bushing.
These part #'s all show up on the online catalog, but you will have to check with shopsmith to see if they are still availbale. If they are not, I think when you have one insert to use a template, you could be make a new inserts out of plywood.

That is the parts list for the stand alone model, but you should note that there are several versions of this model. This one allows you to also mount a router below the table. The first version had a wooden table as I recall. And there probably were other iterations.

ssdsmith's attachment is the standalone one. I have a copy of the Mark V mount version docs now (I sold the standalone setup to fund the new one). Unfortunately, the manual for the old one went with it, so I don't have it handy.
