SS parts recognition test

Good day all,
As a new SS owner, I have a few items I don't recognize from the SS catalog on-line. The first pic is stuff that came with the Greenie, the other is 2 items that came with the 1988 model. The last pic is some other items that came with the Greenie, an extra chuck for the drill press ect, but the black coupler and some of the items I'm not sure about.

I can help you out with two items in the first picture.

The green piece that has a M shape on it is the spring loaded cover that covers the blades on the jointer. the M stands for Magna jointer. The round disc next to it is for lathe work. You would put 4 screws into the holes and into a chunk of lumber to turn a bowl with. The center hole mounts on the quill.

The piece above looks like part of a router assembly but I am not sure on that.

In the bottom picture, I see a lathe live center and next to it a lathe dead center. 3 and 4 from the left respectively.

The rest unfortunately I don't know.

The item at the top of the first picture is a fence used with the shaper, router, and drum sander. Some of the pieces in the bottom picture are universal arbors for mounting things like shaper bits or wheels for buffing.

In the middle picture, the item on the left is a stop block for the aluminum miter gauge extension. The item on the right looks like an alignment tool for the 520 rails, although mine is a set of two shorter pieces, rather than the one long piece shown.

When the 520 fence kit first came out, the alignment gauge was twice as long and came with instructions to cut it in half.

Thats interesting about the fence for the Greenie. Do you have any pics of the fence set up for use? I must attach to the 500 table?
I'll check it out tonight.
By the way the little clamp in the first pic IS painted green as well.

The shaper fence clamps over the front and back of the worktable. The end on the left in your pix butts up against the front and the one on the right slides tight against the back. The pins also fit into the shaper table insert. The fence is a place to 'store' them. In your pix the fence is rotated so the 'face' of the fence is horizontal - it is vertical whwn mounted.

Here is a pic out of an old Magna Eng. manual of the similar fence on a 10ER:

In use the table is rotated perpendicular to the spindle axis and of course, the saw blade and guards removed..

The shaper fence can also be modified to fit the newer 510/520 tables. Shopsmith provided me with a diagram for drilling two holes to allow bolting the fence to the table through the two holes in the 510/520 table. Now if I could only remember where I put that diagram.
