Craigslist score

Post by wannabewoodworker »

Well I have been eyeing a Bosch 1617 EVSPK Router kit for a couple of months at the local big box store but just could not get over the $200+ price of it. So I have been keeping my eye on Craigslist and last night I see that exact kit for sale. The guy wanted $100 but I live about an hour from him so we agreed on a price of $90 as I had to go get it. I headed right to his place this morning before I went to work and got it. The thing is like brand new used one time............:D this is a super nice 2.25 HP router with fixed base and plunge base. It also comes with a Bosch quick change template plate. The adjustments on it are what I really liked about this router the most. It can adjust down to 1/64" and even 1/128" according to the manual. Not that I need the precision but it is 110% beter than my crappy Craftsmen router. Can't wait to give it a work out with the Porter Cable Omni Jig.

Nice score. I snagged a similar one for $75. It needed a new power switch ($4 fix), but that was a quick fix.

It also came with the older RA1160 base. I ordered the adjustment rod from the RA1161, and now I can do above table adjustments. If yours doesn't have that, its an easy change. Part is about $2 plus shipping.
Mark 7, Pro Planer, Jointer, Bandsaw w/Kreg, Biscuit Joiner, Belt Sander, Jig Saw, Ringmaster, DC3300, Overarm Pin Router, Incra Ultimate setup

JWBS-14 w/6" riser, RBI Hawk 226 Ultra, Bosch GSM12SD Axial Glide Dual Compound Miter Saw

-- I have parts/SPTs available, so if you are in the Seattle area and need something let me know --

Mine came with all the original accessories it sold with. It has the T-Handle wrench for the below table housing to adjust the bit height from above the table and the template guide plate quick disconnect thingy. I need to get the guide templates that are made for it and maybe the edge guide which would be nice to have.
