New Mark V owner accessory question
Just picked up my first ShopSmith this week and the accessory shown in pic came with it. It appears to be some type of compressor; anyone know what it is and what it does?
thanks,
Brian

Thanks for the response. Here is the Mark V and what came with it as I'm unloading it from my truck(base/legs not shown but are in good condition) Serial # indicates mid 50s build.

That jointer will need some serious TLC but if you can get it cleaned up and servicable you will love it. I love my jointer and just dropped off my knives to get sharpened as I use it all the time. Man does it make some shavings.

Took the jointer apart today, scraped off nearly all the the rust on the table using a razor blade in a painting glass cleaning holder. I'm missing an adjusting part of the table adjustment mechanism. I'll try to find the info in the threads and links. Good to know its a nice jointer. I just looked at a 50s craftrsman 4" jointer, not nearly as beefy or well made as the V. I'llpost some pics when I have the time.
Thanks,
Brian
