Had two boxes: 8”x12”x36” and 7x12x36, cut one end off both so they slide into each other(makes’em adjustable for length depending on the size of the piece, in this case 54”). Lined it with doubled 6mil plastic. My cathode is a piece of ¼ “ plate, with two 7 ¼” skill saw blades used for extensions to cover the full length of the tubes. Would have been better to rig something up to do both tubes at once but I just did one at a time. The tubes were in the tank about 24hrs each, rotated a few times, and “scotchbrited”, came out pretty nice, still going to 320 wet/dry polish them.
Learned two things: 1) one cubic ft. = 7gals, I had about 2cuft.=14gals, =14tbs of washing soda. 2) grind off the tips of the teeth on the blades! I didn’t think of it and although I was careful you can see in the pic I got a slow leak.
That’s it,
Brian
