I knew there was a good reason to clean my old one up and crate it up for future use. fjimp

My thinking was SS would transform those trade in, in a PowerPro and sell them at a special price.
Since I live so far away form SS, I would prefer to buy a ready/reconditioned PowerPro in an old head stock, rather than send my MarkV and have it reconditioned.
I guess my reasonning does not work and my only solution would be to do it myself, but I am so afraid I will mess up and again being so far, it is not easy to decide.
Otherwise I would buy a powerpro new with no problem and then keep my markV head for a mini, finding a second base, because sending it back to ss is too expansive to consider...
Anyway what are your ideas about that ?

yeah, wasn't surprised that they were reselling the refurbs...was surprised at the $900 price point. Given that the powerpro is twice as much, it makes the powerpro look really inexpensive. maybe that is the strategy
