Keep or sell the DC3300?

infeed fillup works - but after that?
I find that once the guts of the jointer fill-up with chips the rest seem to go out the DC chute. But after work, cleaning out the chips on the infeed side is a real pain. I want to clean them out since wood chips hold water which can rust cast iron and steel parts.
Hmmm - if I take apart the jointer, might there be a way ???????
