T tracks and SS miter slot

I know a while back someone did a detailed and I think fairly complete post on which T tracks were compatible with SS. I think I remember them mentioning a t track that would actually slide in the SS miter groove.

I don't know how many of you get Wood Magazine but each month the pick the "shop tip of the month". This month a guy describes a miminal cross cut sled that is ideal for cut irregular shapes (boards without parallel sides)
Reference Wood Magazine issue 206 September 2011 on page 10.

This would be great for cutting tapers, establishing a reference surface on a board, squaring a board and etc.

What is needed is a T - track that can slide in the SS mitre groove and a few T-track clamps. You put the t-track in the miter groove clamp you board so the blade follows the cut line and way you go.

GREAT IDEA! Cheap easy and works!

Can someone point me to the post where all those t tracks were discussed or simply tell me of a T-track that will fit in the SS miter slot.

In the article they used Rockler item # 25736 for their t-track

I haven't seen that copy of WOOD magazine yet, but I think you could rig something similar using the Shopsmith Miter Bar for Jigs and Fixtures (#555895).

The miter bar does not have a t-slot.

Think minimal - simple here!

Tslot that will slide in ss miter slot. Clamps that fit in t-slot and clamp the workpiece to the t-slot in any angle/position.

That is ALL!;)

I think that Ed is looking for a T-Bar that is compatible to the Shopsmith T-Track. The only one that I know of (other than the ones that I am having made) are from Incra.

I believe that they sell these as spare parts. I bought the one I have during some sort of online special. I have the same t-bar that they use on the Incra V120 miter gauge.

I have a nephew who has accepted the challenge to make me some 22" long miter bars (t-bars) for use it the Shopsmith miter track.

I did discover that a standard Incra T-Track will actually slide right into the Shopsmith T Slot Miter Track. I trying to build my own miter/cross cut Sled but need to find the correct Miter bar option first.

I found the first link to be informative. I think a mini t-track could be 'trimmed' like crushgroovin's to fit. 0.012" off each side. Conical disk ought to work!
