Hello Members, I live in Australia and would like to purchase Mark 7. However Shopsmith is telling me that they do not ship outside US. Does anyone know how to get one shipped to Australia?
Thanks John L

A Mark 7 ???holsgo wrote:I think someone on this forum may have one to sell or you could win one on ebay. Then have them ship it to you. There is one for sale for $125 in upper new york right now. He said it's pickup only but maybe if you ask nice.
Distance is definitely a problem. A forum member helped another from Canada a while back. A very short distance.
Need a trustworthy bloke over here to purchase one (with your $) and ship it to you(again your $). Do not know what customs obstacles there are. Possible, but not 'easy'.
FWIW I think it would need crating to survive the trip.

If you want to buy a new Mark 7 and pay the price for overseas shipping, I am certain that someone will be willing to handle the transport activities for you. If the Shopsmith packing is not undone (I don't know why that would happen), it should survive oversea shipping just as well as it would survive FedEx in the states. Change the labels and it should be ready to go.JPG40504 wrote:A Mark 7 ???

Hello Holsgo, are you sure that $125 is correct? That sound too cheap for Mark7. If so please rush me his contact details and I will buy it imediatly and would happilly pay for shipping and handling.

The sale price is $120 and the seller will not ship. Being offered for local pickup only AND this is a vintage Mark VII. It is NOT a Mark 7 like the one that you would get if you bought from Shopsmith.holic46 wrote:Hello Holsgo, are you sure that $125 is correct? That sound too cheap for Mark7. I assume that this is what you are talking about buying from Shopsmith. The price will be no where near $120 but rather like $4000 plus shipping.

The cheapest way is probably using a freight forwarding company, good for heavy items shipping overseas.
You purchase from shopsmith and get the items sent to the freight forwarding offices in the US. The will pack it put it in a container and ship it via container ship to Australia. You can either pick it up from the docks or get it delivered to your home.
You need to go online and look at freight forwarding.
Hope this helps.
