I moved the work-in-progress documentation to:

Motor Upgrade at 70%
Controller Mods at 0%
New Feed Motor Controller at 0%

So far this post has had 88 views and several very nice positive comments. For those comments - thank you!

But to be honest the quid pro quo for getting the information is to respond with any thoughts, comments, suggestions, or just plain edits of the document. I don't mind sharing information, but this is fair amount of work to document what's been done and the impetus to continue updating the document, so it would be very nice to get feedback in return.

I think most would be hard pressed to have any suggestions.
It's work in progress, so far it's a great job, and I wouldn't normally presume to post editing comments.
You have an overview of what this is accomplishing, cautions of what could be a problem, (esp the warning not to use the new motor with the old motor control) and sources for parts, part numbers etc, detailed steps by steps. All good. The directions are clear to me.

(A pic of the motor stiffening/spacer plate maybe ?) Is it just a spacer to account for the longer shaft, what is it stiffening ?

You specify the part number for the motor, but state there are several motors in this line. They have multiple motors with the same part number?

Editing-wise: (you asked) Pg 3 the text isn't wrapping around the 2nd picture properly. "Bodine motor is that is sticks out further than the Shopsmith" is garbled.

Pg 4 closed right ) "after right one)" no previous left (

The blue text over the pics on pg 5 is disappearing on the black backround.

Looking forward to the controller info.

Page 5 step 5 - why not all ring connectors and screws/nuts?(eliminates need to solder).

Page 6 step 7 - delete word [either]. Go with the two separate sentences.

Looking very good!

The discussion regarding motor models needs to be expanded to include the 'other models' etc. actual model numbers.

I held back 'commenting', since it was a wip. Will keep watching, and be more responsive!
