Once during my "mad scientist" years we needed to make a large quantity of open boxes about 3 inches wide X 3 inches deep and 3 feet long out of 1/4" plywood. They were to hold hundreds of small packets of experimental seed corn on end and sit in racks on a specially built corn planter for planting tiny plots.
Two of my younger coworkers had never used a Skilsaw type saw before and they had cut up several sheets of plywood. They had so much trouble cutting it that at times they were a full quarter inch off of the line. After seeing their cuts I cut the next sheet for them and they were flabbergasted that I could make a cut and then they could not find any of the line. They quickly voted me as the official saw operator.
They had also never considered cutting more than one sheet at a time.
