Rack Removed

Post by iaokie »

Got the track I mean RACK

removed
Could not drill out because pin is stainless and rivet is aluminum so used a small brad and easily punched the pin through the rivet then using a screw driver and putty knife carefully pried the rack off
Finished polishing the last tube :D

WOW ! Amazing job !
We are so lucky that you gave us a chance to be witness to that kind of restoration.
When I say "amazing job", I mean as much the polishing but also the illustration of it on this forum.
Posts like this one and many others are the reason we keep coming back to this forum.

Thank you and keep up the good work.

Belts for Mark VII

Post by iaokie »

Anyone have a good source for the drive and Poly V belts for the Mark VII
I've seen some new on E-Bay for about $45
Don't know where they're made or how good of quality they will be

Buy from Shopsmith when the belts are in stock. When Shopsmith has them on back order, I have received quick excellant service and parts from tristateauto (Ebay). Tech help is available for ALL purchases. Call 908-241-2885 7 days. They also carry the Gilmer Drive belts along with the Poly-V and Motor Drive belts along with many new Shopsmith parts. I have been using their belts and parts with excellant results.

With 4 SS, I would suggest keeping a set(or do you already have more than one spare 'set')?:D
