Now, that's a real deal. Great find, JPG.

On a little different line of thought, noticed the tail stock on the left side. All my Shopsmith manual always show it to the right. While either side turns it in the same direction and speed, the only reason I can think of for putting it on the right side is because the tool rest is there. I'm curious to experience and thoughts.

Tail stock on left simply because the person selling it has no idea where it really belongs! If you look closely, you can see it is mounted with the back side facing the headstock.

I have seen pix with bandsaw and jointer mounted on the right

LOL, when they try to apply the coupler, they'll see that the jointer or bandsaw won't quite fit on the right side. Sadly, the original owners are passing off the scene and the undedicated folks have to idea how to use one. It's much better that they sell than try to use it. The reason I was given my first one for free is that the couple's son had no mechanical abilities. They were afraid he'd cut off something that he really needed to keep. So, I was extremely happy when they offered it to me. The last one I picked up, the man was amazed that it was so simple for me to move and load by myself. I'm not proficient with it, but this is one very well engineered machine and I love them. Thanks for the response.

Actually a coupler hub on the quill will drive them . . . . . . . in reverse!

Now, see, I didn't even think creatively. LOL. Your solution would be a potential. Guess I'm just to locked into safety rules. :D
