belt sander question
Hi-new here. Just received a model 505642 (older?) belt sander and replaced a couple bearings. Got it back together but not sure how the knob adjustment works for adjusting the belt. I thought I had the belt adjusted but as some as I switch it on, the belt loosens. Can anyone help me. Thanks!
Sounds like you need to re-tension the upper drum. Maybe the following will help.

That is quite counter-intuitive also!:D
I hate to admit how many times I have been frustrated trying to adjust the tension 4 clicks clockwise!:(
After all that Arrow on the knob points counter-clockwise and the word release is there also!
