Double Tilt Upgrade- Plan B

Post by ryanbp01 »

I have been through the instructions on performing the double tilt upgrade. Since there is only myself to perform this upgrade I am reluctant to turn the machine upside down. Has anyone devised a method to do the upgrade while right side up? If so, how did you do it?

I would remove the headstock and carriage, then remove the waytubes. Flipping it over is then much much easier. You will be manipulating many screws/nuts etc. that are much more easily accessed from the underside.

But then I am comfortable with complete dis/reassembly.;)
