Strip Sander Buffing belt - any info
I ended up with a copy of some VHS tapes of shopsmith salesman training stuff. one mentioned the buffing belt for the strip sander, which I hadn't heard of previously. Anyone have one of these? Know when they stopped selling them? I haven't seen it in any of the catalogs that i have, nor did I see it online.

Hi, check my shopsmith catalog from 2008 and do not see them listed. I do think I remember seeing them at sometime. Never purchased one from them but the good news is that the belt size is a standard so if you want to take the time you should be able to find them somewhere.
I have used linen belts, and some other grit belts from other sources that all have worked fine. I've used leather belts too, one of the later ones I got was a little thinner then I like, got it at Lee Valley. Might give them a try.
