Knife Sharpening Jig for SS Grinding wheel

Just curious if anyone has the old jointer/planer attachment for the SS grinding wheel guard. If so, could you post photos/dimmensions and such? I don't think its sold anymore.

Assuming this is 'it'!

Both pieces are 1/10" thick.

I am not sure what is 'standard' and what is add on adapter.

I assume the pivoting bracket these are mounted on is 'standard'.

Yup, thats the one. Thanks!

Heh, I just watched the sales video for it, so I know :)

The guard, arbor, pivoting rest, and plastic window are all standard. The sharpening jig was part of some sort of kit.

Oh, and apparently the shopsmith wheels were 'special' at one point because they were plastic bonded. not sure if that makes a difference today. I would imagine that any decent quality wheel would be similar.

Perhaps the 'plastic bonding' makes it acceptable to grind on the sides.:confused:

P.S. Do those videos tell about the different wheels that were available? IIRC I have about 4 different wheels.

sounds about right - there were a few different grits. There was one wheel that was rubber/flexible in a way. and of course the buffing wheels as well.
