I have been searching all over the Web for anyone that sells a "black" pad, I have found green, white, maroon, gray but no black. What is the grit for the black ones used to remove oxidation from the Shopsmith tables during waxing?

600 grit. Black = grey; they are the same thing.

You're quite right; the player is not loading. Check to see if there is a file in your plug-in folder called "np-mswmp.dll." Occasionally, when working with browsers other than Explorer, the Windows Media Player loads this file in the operating system files instead of the browser plugin file.

This isn't a gauranteed fix. I have Firefox on my computer that still cannot find the player even though this file is where it's supposed to be, but it is a possible cause of your troubles.

Well, the OS9 experiment failed as well. Sigh...
Guess I'll have to go back to waiting until Tuesday to watch the flash version, which works just fine for me.
Nick: I'll forward you a copy of my registration letter. Please release it so someone that can actually see the video may take advantage.

Jeff, if you would do me a favor, I'd appreciate it. The live Sawdust Session is streamed in Windows Media from a server in San Francisco. The "live test" is hosted on our server here in Dayton, Ohio. The html code for the test classrom and the live classroom is somewhat different. I need to find out if indeed our test page is a valid test for our viewers -- it might not be because of the differences in the way the video is code-embedded. Would you try to watch on Saturday and then report back whether or not anything is different?

I think I found the problem getting the videos to work. I have Verizon DSL and I remember that when it was first installed, I had to add a filter to each phone line in the house. No problem, this was done. The problem was that last week the Dish people added a new 501 system for me. I order to get the 501, they wanted me to hook it up to the phone line. Great, accept now the speed of the DSL is extremely slow. After a couple of days, I remembered the filter needed to be installed. Works great now.

Just out of curiosity, a 501 system is what?

I can't get DSL here in the outback (of Texas that is) so I have to settle for a wireless system. Don't laugh! It's better than the satellite system I had for several years!
